Dr. Federico Latimer earnedhis undergraduate degreefrom Villanova University, and he then completed the first of two Master’s degrees at Penn State University. He earned his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University in 1984, and a second Master’s Degree in 1984. He then entered private practice in Puerto Rico until 1987.
Dr. Alex Padron completed his undergraduate studies at Florida International University and obtained his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at St. Georges University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. He completed his clinical rotations at Oregon State University. Following his graduation, he completed a one-year general rotating internship at Animal Specialty Group, Los Angeles, CA.
Dr. Daniel Boruta is a native of Michigan and he received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University. He completed his veterinary anesthesia residency at the University of Pennsylvania and has been a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia since 2013.
Dr. Toni Yang grew up in Houston, TX and completed both her undergraduate and professional studies at Texas A&M University (WHOOP!) in College Station, TX. After graduating with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M in 2015, she completed an internship in small animal surgery and medicine at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine with plans on returning to Texas afterwards.
For Dr. Carmen Colitz, every day is a blessing and an opportunity to use her veterinary skills to improve the lives of animals. Dr. Colitz earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and a Ph.D. in Comparative and Experimental Medicine from the University of Tennessee in 1993 and 1996, respectively. Her research involved the study of ocular embryology and molecular biology of cancer.
Dr. Jennifer Ayoub grew up in Massachusetts and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Framingham State College. She then left the cold northeast and moved to Louisiana where she earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University in 2008.
Dr. Dewey Carpenter grew up in Greenville S.C and served 6 years in the U.S. Navy. Following his honorable discharge from the Navy he completed a Bachelors of Sciences in Biology and Chemistry at Charleston Southern University in 1996.
Dr. Michael Wong is one of fewer than 300 board-certified veterinary neurologists in North America. Dr. Wong is a graduate from the University of Florida (UF) College of Veterinary Medicine and one of the first veterinary neurologists to complete the Advanced Neurosurgical Certification. He founded Southeast Veterinary Neurology (SEVN) in 2010 with the purpose of keeping families together by giving pets second chances and hope for those who love them.
Dr. Christine Senneca, originally from Long Island, NY, has joined the Southeast Veterinary Neurology team after establishing and building a thriving neurology service in Pennsylvania. She obtained her bachelor’s degree with high honors from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Joe Katz is a South Florida native who moved to Philadelphia, PA for school – completing both undergraduate and veterinary degrees at the University of Pennsylvania. He also spent time doing translational research with the Center for Resuscitation Science. Upon graduation from veterinary school, he completed a Rotating Internship at Coral Springs Animal Hospital.
Dr. Elizabeth Sigman attended the University of Florida to obtain her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine graduating in 1997. After practicing in Austin, Texas for 5 years, she returned to her home state of Florida. She practiced as an associate veterinarian in the Sebastian/Vero Beach area for 10 years.
Dr. Alexis Torre is a Texan transplant. She completed her undergraduate degree at Trinity University in San Antonio, TX and her veterinary degree at Oklahoma State University. Upon graduating veterinary school, she returned to San Antonio and completed an equine internship at a referral hospital.
Dr. Craig Stanton comes to Florida from the mountains of Colorado and Pennsylvania where he grew his passion for small animal emergency and critical care. In 2007, he completed business and veterinary degrees at Colorado State University and became certified in veterinary medical acupuncture.
Dr. Amanda Causey grew up right here in Jupiter, Florida and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Florida. She then took a trip to the desert and earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Midwestern University in Arizona.
